Thank you for visiting my website. Here you will learn a little about myself, and my projects.
I have always enjoyed stories; listening to others’ and telling my own. My family, especially my Welsh grandmother, Hilda, and her sisters, my great aunts were prolific, energetic story tellers, sometimes prone to exaggeration in their tales. This early love of listening led to a voracious appetite for reading. I also loved the theatre and watching plays, especially at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre, as a teenager.
These passions lead me to studying English and Drama at the University of Birmingham, then training to teach at the University of London Institute of Education. A satisfying and interesting teaching career followed, working with teenagers in the big cities of London and Birmingham, and also the Cathedral city of Winchester.
I continued my studies at the University of Winchester, gaining an MA in Creative and Critical Writing. Now, I combine writing with teaching Creative Writing on a freelance basis.
I am eager to collaborate and welcome commissions of all kinds – just get in touch.
